San Diego rap veteran Mitchy Slick has teamed up with West Coast music producer Sir Veterano for a new collaborative album titled "Everybody Hates Mitch" on Fresh Yard Records. Turning back the clock to an 80's funk and west coast rap sound, Sir Veterano paints a soundscape for Mitchy Slick to do what he does best. Boasting features from the legendary rapper E-40, Jay Worthy, Bosko, and more, "Everybody Hates Mitch" shows up right on time for the streets Summer '23. Turn the bass up on this one! A native of San Diego, California, hip-hop veteran Mitchy Slick is known as one-third of Stones Throw Records hip-hop trio Strong Arm Steady and also as a solo artist in his own right who has grown to become the unofficial ambassador of the San Diego rap scene. Slick is CEO and founder of “The Wrongkind”, a familial collective of artists, producers, deejays, and entrepreneurs. Slick’s debut album “Triggeration Station” was released in 2001 and peaked at #13 on Billboard’s Top Independent Albums chart. Slick has released numerous mixtapes and albums, including the XXL Guns collection, “Mitchy Duz It”, “Strong Arm Robbery” volumes 1 & 2, and his sophomore album “Urban Survival Syndrome” featuring production by DJ Kahlil, Alchemist, and DJ Muggs. “Messy Slick”, his collaboration album with Messy Marv, “Feet Match The Paint” with DJ Fresh, “Won’t Stop”, “Lost In The Yay”, and “PTSD” round out a prolific discography. Alongside Los Angeles emcees Krondon and Phil The Agony, Slick released West Coast super-group Strong Arm Steady’s debut album “Deep Hearted” in 2007, followed by the mixtape “Gang Mentality”, the conceptual album “In Search of Stoney Jackson”, “Arms and Hammers”, and “Stereotype”, a collaborative album with esteemed producer Statik Selektah. Slick also landed three features on The Game’s critically acclaimed “Documentary 2/2.5”. Slick has also collaborated with Lil Wayne, E-40, oo Short, Gladys Knight, Nick Cannon, Nipsey Hussle, Gucci Mane, Waka Flocka, Jay Rock, Talib Kweli, Big Gipp, Paul Wall, Xzibit, Trae The Truth, Compton Menace, and The Jacka, among others.

Sir Veterano is a music producer based in the Central Valley of California. Growing up in a remote area outside San Francisco, his music managed to catch the attention of major indie hip-hop artists in the mid 2000's and early 2010's, and he went on to produce for the likes of lyrical icons Ras Kass, Kool G Rap, Mad Skillz, Planet Asia and Eminem's super group Slaughterhouse, established himself as a promising up and coming hip-hop producer. After taking an eight-year hiatus, Sir Veterano returned in 2020 on Fresh Yard Records with his first studio album “The Gathering”, featuring icons like MC Eiht, Murs, Guilty Simpson, Mitchy Slick, Ras Kass, Fashawn, Planet Asia and more. In 2021, Sir Veterano & Fashawn teamed up on the collaborative album “All Hail The King”, with features from Aloe Blacc, Elzhi, Planet Asia & DJ Revolution.
